Ekwezi Mine

August – December 2019: Projects big or small we can do it. After a mine erected a new crusher plant it was up to us to to install the power. This started from designing a MCC with PLC to installing it into a container with all the cable work and interlocks to the motors. A VSD was added in the design for the crusher motor for more efficient operation.

Typhoon Fibres Newcastle

January – July 2019: After all the equipment was placed in position by Starlinger, Sietech connected all the electrical to the motors and panels. all the lights and cable supports was also done by Sietech. A new MCC was designed build and installed to feed the factory.

Brother Cisa (Lanxess until 2019)

September 2018: Engineering, installation and commissioning of two MP200 15kVA UPS 400Vac and transformers. Installation of cables.

September 2015 – October 2015: LANXESS DECANTER DRIVE UPGRADE – We have been contracted by Lanxess Newcastle to replace the obsolete Siemens drives used on the DECANTER drive system with the new Sinamics Drive Siemens system.

February 2015 – June 2015: LANXESS CISA KILN DRIVE UPGRADE – Contracted to replace the obsolete Siemens drives used on the KILN drive system with the new Sinamics Drive Siemens system.

January – September 2012: We were appointed as the electrical Contractor to do the complete Electrical and Instrumentation installation for the CO2 Recovery Plant at Lanxess. Project total was approx. R300m, the E&I Installation portion was R12m. (project contract period was 18 months).

ArcelorMittal Newcastle

August 2018: Project – Supply deliver and install 6.6kv siemens breaker and electrification of scrap cutter plant and armoured cables from billet mill substation.

June 2016: We have been contracted by Arcelormittal Newcastle to replace the obsolete GEM GEC drives At Barmill used on the different stands for steel rolling DC drive system with the new Sinamics DCM Drive system.

March 2016: We have been contracted by Arcelormittal Newcastle to replace the obsolete GEM GEC drives at Medium mill used on the cooling bed roller tables drive system with the new Sinamics Drive Siemens system.

November 2013 – March 2014: We were appointed as the Electrical contractor to do the complete Electrical and Instrumentation installation for the new Ammonia Distillation Plant at Coke Ovens Plant. Project total was approx. R80m, the electrical portion was R1,2m. (Project Contract period was 5 months).

June 2010: Supply and Installation of 5 x110KW Siemens Sinamics drives and motors, installation and engineering.

September 2009: Supply and Installation of 4 15KW Siemens Micromaster drives and motors, installation and engineering.

June 2009: Complete electrical refurbishment of a cut to length machine Schmitz Sohne, which included the New Siemens Sinamics drive and S7 PLC.

June 2008: Supply and Installation of 2x 75KW Siemens Master drives and motors, installation an engineering.

October 2007: Supply and Installation of 2x 75KW Siemens Master drives and motors, installation and engineering.

January 2007: Maintenance contract on Drive servicing at Coke Ovens.

June 2007: Supply and Installation of 5x 15 KW Siemens Micromaster drives and motors, installation and engineering.

October 2006: Supply and Installation of 2x75KW Siemens Master Drives and motors, installation and engineering.

June 2006: Supply and Installation of 4 x15KW Siemens Micromaster drives and motors, installation and engineering.

December 2004: Supply and Installation of 4 250KW Siemens Master drives and motors, installation and engineering.

January 2003: Offer installation of all electrical engineering.

PortNet Richardsbaai

May 2018: New Sinamics VSD drives solutions for machine 1 Calliard 7 and machine 2 Calliard 8. Engineering, Installation and programming of drives for the Calliards 7 & 8 shiploaders

St Helena Airport Project

October 2014 – May 2018: We have been contracted by LVS to do the complete electrical installation for the Bulk fuel storage facility for the Airport on St Helena Island. The work involved is the complete installation of all cable racking, cables for instrumentation and electrical. The hole installation was classified as hazardous are and the correct equipment was used in the installation.

The installation of the MCC panels and all Instruments in the field is done by Sietech.

Sietech contract value is around R12M.

Kangra Coal

March 2018: Provision for the supply and installation of two 400kW VSD IP 54 master/slave floor standing panel at Kangra Coal for there 6km overland conveyor, two motors running in tandem to drive the conveyor.

SOLAR POWER GENERATION KAXU & KHI

March – October 2014: Water purification plant in Upington for the Abensa Solar Power generation Plant. This plant was named Khi. parrelale with this project we also did the same installation at Pofadder at the plant called Kaxu.

We were appointed as the Electrical contractor to do the complete Electrical and Instrumentation installation for the new Water purification plant for Kaxu and Khi. The electrical portion was R1,3m. (Project contract period was 5 months)

LANXESS DURBAN MEREBANK

September 2007 – Augustus 2008: Sietech Newcastle instaled 63 VSD for 63 bore holes for the water purification project. This included the installation of an MCC, PLC and all the control instruments.

January – June 2005: Certification of all Power distribution on site, COC Certification.

MONDI PACKAGING PIET RETIEF

June 2002: Offer service, maintenance and repairs on all Siemens AC Master drives on a continuous basis.

CHROME INTERNATIONAL SA

April 2002: Design and installation of new Heater banks (Dummy loads) for a 2.5MW Diesel alternator and commissioning.

June 2000: Supply and installation of a Variable Speed drive used for a pusher centrifuge with speed control including commissioning.

September 2000: Design and erection of a complete 1MW remote substation for the ash dam which includes the supply and installation of transformers 11KV/525V and the switch board and MCC, including commissioning.

March 2000: Maintenance Service Contract: to service all AC drives on site and do repairs and maintenance.

October 1999: Supply and installation of a 315 KW AC drive for 250 KW fan with speed control including commissioning.
